Structure of Knowledge Philosophy according to Mulla Sadra’s Philosophy

Abdolhussein Khosroupanah

The present writing tries to present, in a structured way, issues in the philosophy of knowledge including ontology of knowledge and epistemology in Sadrean philosophy. As a mental fact, knowledge has been discussed in Sadrean Philosophy in detail; and results of ontological and imitative analyses have been employed in many ideas and theses.

Mulla Sadra has not devoted an independent book to this important issue; his theses and ideas, however, are suggestive of his intellectual integrity and scientific mastery of the nature, place, and function of the above-mentioned issues.

To present this system and structure is an introductory step to move toward independence of philosophy of knowledge in Islamic philosophy; and it has been, of course, useful in various fields including philosophical explanation and proof of religious doctrines.
