In the next step, disambiguation and homogenization are done, which leads to the identification of related people with the same name or the same people with different names. Researchers in each field are sorted according to the number of citations they have received, and then highly cited researchers are considered as scientific elites in the field of humanities, social sciences, and art based on the citation contexts.

The Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), relying on its information sources and databases, annually identifies highly cited researchers in the humanities, social sciences, and arts. it should be mentioned that the criterion for selecting these researchers is the number of citations made to their scientific productions.
