According to the Public Relations Office of the Research Institute for Islamic Culture and Thought, Hujjat al islam Dr. Abdolhossein Khosrowpanah, a faculty member of the Philosophy Department at the Institute, has been recognized for the third consecutive year as one of the most-cited Iranian researchers in the humanities. This recognition is based on the announcement by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC).
From the perspective of the Supreme Leader, the humanities are as significant as industrial and medical sciences, and progress and theorizing in these fields hold special importance. The Supreme Leader has remarked that many global events and occurrences stem from the theoretical contributions of scholars in these disciplines. He stated:
“Many of the world’s events, even in economic and political fields, are influenced by the theories of experts in the humanities—in sociology, psychology, and philosophy. They are the ones who define the benchmarks.”
Given the importance of research in the humanities, the ISC annually identifies top-cited researchers in the humanities, social sciences, and arts by leveraging its information resources and databases. This year, Hujjat al islam Dr. Abdolhossein Khosrowpanah from the Research Institute for Islamic Culture and Thought has been included in this prestigious list.
Finally, it should be noted that the criterion for selecting these researchers is the number of citations their academic works have received.
