According to the Public Relations of the Research Institute for Islamic Culture and Thought, as reported by Hawzah News Agency, the closing ceremony of the Martyr Sadr Global Award was held on Thursday, 5th of Mehr (September 26, 2024), with messages from Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, Ayatollah A’rafi (Director of the Seminaries), and the introduction of the award recipients at Imam Kazim (A.S.) School in Qom.
Ayatollah Abolqasem Alidoost, a faculty member of the Department of Fiqh and Law at the Research Institute, was chosen as the recipient of this round of the award for his theory on “The Role of Expediency in the Process of Deduction in Fiqh.”
Additionally, Dr. Mahmoud Hekmat Nia, another faculty member of the Department of Fiqh and Law at the Research Institute, was honored for his theory on “The Foundations of Freedom of Speech and Its Legal Structure” in the first round of the Martyr Sadr Global Award.
It is noteworthy that the first round of the Martyr Sadr Global Award, organized by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, aimed to support theoretical work in the field of Islamic-Humanities at a global level, was finished on the 5th of Mehr in the city of Qom.
