Book on “Civilizational Ijtihad: Nature, Reasons, and Methods” Published

According to the Public Relations Department of IICT, the book “Civilizational Ijtihad: Nature, Reasons, and Methods” by Hojatoleslam Abdolhamid Vaseti has been published by the Institute’s Department of Logic and Religious Studies through the Publications Organization.

The formation of a civilization depends on the development of its structures and processes; within a civilization, individuals do not have independent roles but are part of its systems, and their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are shaped within these systems.

The structures and processes of a society can unconsciously develop in response to needs, conflicts, and competitions, gradually evolving over time. Alternatively, they can be consciously shaped based on the level of knowledge present in the humanities at any given era, which manifests in models of development and progress.

Muslims, based on their epistemological foundations, consider the Quran and Sunnah (traditions) as sources of knowledge for shaping the necessary structures and processes of a civilization. Over the past decades, there has been a continuous effort to discover this knowledge. This research aims to provide the foundations and methods for this discovery.

“Civilizational Ijtihad: Nature, Reasons, and Methods” by Hojatoleslam Abdolhamid Vaseti is now available, priced at 235,000 tomans per volume.
