Ayatollah Ali Akbar Rashad was born in Tehran in 1335 (coinciding with the month of Ramadan, 1377 AH). He studied Islamic jurisprudence and Islamic philosophy under the supervision of prominent professors of the Tehran and Qom constituencies and has been engaged in researching and teaching philosophy, logic of religion, jurisprudence and principles. Ayatollah Ali Akbar Rashad went to school in 1340 to study the Qur’an, and one year later he began teaching in the first class at a non-state school.
